Introduction of the Center

History of K-Bio CMO Center

The Animal Cell Culture Validation Support Center was established with funding from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, along with contributions from local governments. The center aims to enhance the national vaccine and biopharmaceutical industries by providing advanced facilities and specialized services.

Equipped with global GMP-level capabilities, the center specializes in non-clinical, clinical, and commercial vaccine and biopharmaceutical process development, as well as contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) based on animal cell culture. It offers critical support to venture and small-to-medium-sized companies that lack access to high-cost vaccine production equipment.

During national emergencies, the center plays a vital role by producing, stockpiling, and managing public vaccines, ensuring a stable supply of essential resources for public health and safety.
